I Should Have Stayed in Bed Kind of Day

So it snowed...lots!

Russ and I were rushing to get out of the house- forgot about taking my blood thinner.

Cleaning off cars---Russ puts his car on the street because we had to get mine out and it was stuck...

His car got hit by a plow truck---just bumper damage. As I was walking down the hill to see it, I fell down on my bum. Had to go to the doctors...it is now 11:15 and at work.

I am officially taking my computer home with me over the weekends...if I had done that--I wouldn't have had to even get out of my pj's!

Baby and mommy are fine. Baby is up to 5 pounds 12 ounces! WOW! 7 weeks left!

Week 32!

Here is Baby Dyer! The baby looks like it is puckering. The baby was a big showoff during the ultrasound today---baby was swallowing, drinking fluid, sticking out its tongue, and baby also blinked! The checks are big and round too! Very cute! The little bump at the top of the head is actually Baby's hand. I spoke to the nurse today about what would happen if I go into labor before 36 weeks. I don't change into the fast acting blood thinners until my 36th week, so I was curious what my options will be. The anathesiologist (ignore my horrible spelling) will be calling me, so I can go over my options. Primarily, they would try to stop my labor but that doesn't always work, so it is good that I will know ahead of time what my options are so I can think about things.
I am not sure of baby's weight this week; they only measure that every other week.

What an Amazing Day!

Yesterday was the most incredible day from start to finish. It started with me getting a raise and a huge bonus. It was so big that it has taken a huge weight off of Russ and I and our anxiety about how we were going to manage our responsibilities while me being on maternity leave. Then Russ called to ask me if I knew about Jolly's throwing him a baby shower! It was a great party! His office ladies were so generous! Everything was fabulous! We really appreciate everything they did for us.
When we got home, there was this envelope addressed to Russ, but we had no idea what it was. We opened it to find a gift certificate from Steve (Russ' brother) for $200 in diapers! HOLY CRAP! I just started to cry! It is an amazing gift and so huge!
Russ and I just can't express our appreciation and feelings because we are so overwhelmed with all of the generous!

New York City

So this week, I went to NY for work. WOW! It was hard! I got up at 4am, left the house by 4:45, at the bus station at 5:15, on the bus at 6....then had to lug all my stuff through South Station to Amtrak...on the train at 9:15 and in NY City by 12:45...took a wrong turn out of Penn Station, so I took a cab to the hotel, walked to the office, saw a person hit by a car, sweating and tired at this point, arrived at the office by 2:30 soaking wet and tired...worked until 7, and got back to the hotel with very swollen ankles, feet and legs. Everywhere was hot! The office, the different modes of transportation, the hotel....so let's just say I had a repeat of the hotness at work on Thursday and at the party on Thursday night. Russ came on Thursday- just arriving as the snow, sleet and rain started.

On Friday, we started at Macy's- that place is huge! We looked at all the holiday windows. We then went to Lord and Taylor to see those holiday windows----much more traditional there. We then went to Rockefeller Center- but on the way we were going to do the Rockettes---but they only had single seats left. We saw the rock---much smaller than we thought---it looks much bigger on tv...but still very nice! We then visited The Cathedral of St. Patrick. It was a beautiful church, but very commercialized at this point. After that we went to the Museum of Natural History to see the dino bones! This is what I looked forward to the most! It was so amazing.
It was so nice to have Russ with me---I was so pooped with tired, swollen legs. We got back at 10:45 last night. I took a shower, put my feet up and so glad to be back in Maine. I love it here!

4D Image with some help.

Baby Update- Week 29 and 5 Days

Russ and I went to the doctor this am---the start of my weekly appointments. The lady doing the ultrasound was kind enough to do another 4D for us! Russ will post pictures soon. It was pretty amazing. They did not take measurements this time around...so I don't have a weight update. I had a panic attack though when I left because they made a copy of my file for me to take to NY this week...and I was reading through the report, and it had stated that the baby has an enlarged liver. The doctor and nurse did not say a thing about this, so of course, I panicked! I called, and I was told there is nothing to worry about, and if something was of concern, they would have said something. I told them that I do not like surprises when it comes to health issues, so to please keep my informed.

Other update---Russ and I are getting a new vehicle on the 18th. We could have waited but the his PT Cruiser lease is up in early March---depending on when this baby comes---plus with the fact that his registration is due by the end of the month with the inability for it to carry over (If it was a car we owned- the plates would but because it is a lease...). So we are going to get a Caravan. People might laugh but it is affordable, and we can fit all the baby gear, dog gear, the dogs and us in the car. So it fits our needs and our budget. Plus, we get employee pricing on it. What is nice is that it is a 2007 with under 12,000 miles on it.

Update.....Russ checking in. Here are the 4D pics of Baby! Very cool to see that. Looks like Baby's been in a fight with Mike Tyson al la 1986, but that's just because the 4D machine looks through organs and stuff. Anyways, here they are.

Baby Update- Week 28 and 5 Days

Went for my bi-weekly ultrasound and appt today. The ultrasound tech was really nice but she forgot to do something---twice, so I had to keep going back. It made for a two hour appt! The baby is great! Baby weighs 3 pounds 8 ounces! So far, Baby is going by the books and gaining half a pound a week! Baby is on the 77% percentile. The liver looks good, and the fluids are still good. My blood pressure is good...and they aren't too worried.

They are changing my frequency of my appts, and I am now to go in once a week until Baby arrives. Hopefully, they don't make standard practice of keeping me at the office for two hours!

I also didn't get any pictures from this ultrasound. I didn't dare ask the lady because she was so flustered! She did do a 4D ultrasound which was incredible! I got to see Baby's face---I am already bias and must say I have the cutest baby! :) Baby was sucking on it's hand. Oh- it killed me; it was so precious!
